Mongoose are an allfemale, Dublinbased ‘altyfolkybluesy’ kinda band.
Their music is an acoustic meltypot, with a focus on sweet vocal
harmonies. With nods to Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Joni Mitchell and
The Andrews Sisters, Mongoose’s influences range from Simon and
Garfunkel to Fleetwood Mac, with a dash of Beyoncé in between. Their
much anticipated debut album was released May 22nd to a packed out
Sugar Club. With festival appearances including Vantastival, Groove,
Knockanstockan and Electric Picnic, this foursome are sure to delight with
their quick onstage banter, eclectic range of instruments and beautifully
crafted songs.
